Life on Gryja: The Destroyers

In the latest issues of Life on Gryja, we told you more about the two tribes that together form the Builders’ faction.

Now, it’s finally time to reveal more details on their sworn enemies: the Destroyers!

As you might remember, Gryja’s life cycle is sustained by the primordial stream that flows from the planet’s central core throughout its entire surface, disseminating souls on the ground that later blossom into living essences that range from non-sentient to superior beings.

The experiences collected in the previous life and the quantity of terrestrial energy assimilated during one’s cycle influence the level of consciousness these creatures have.

Based on that, they are classified into primordial, intermediate, elevated, and guardian.

The destroyers of Gryja are almost exclusively composed of primordials.

Primordials have little intellect and are mostly driven by survival. Their language is so underdeveloped, that they only communicate with simple sounds and with wide and slow gestures. Their primal instincts require them to constantly seek nourishment and new energy sources, which is why they continually attack builders’ outposts and constructions.

Their low sense of society, deriving from the previous experience of their essence, is the main cause for their nomadic lifestyle. While Builders have a great sense of community, Destroyers gather only in small tribes.
